- slow and crowded though it's cheap
- good for long distance routes
- time can be a disadvantage especially during the rain season
- journey time will be highly delayed through January to April due to landslides and bad road conditions
- avoid overnight bussing to prevent theft and assault
Taxi:

- International Driving Permit (IDP) required if driving through Peru more than 30 days
- not recommended due to poor quality roads, expensive gas, aggressive drivers
Train:
- PeruRail is privatized system with daily services, especially through its natural amusements
- prices vary for different distance and season
Air:
- can travel through domestic flights throughout the country
- schedules and prices change and vary frequently
Boat:
- used in certain parts of the country
- mostly used along the Peruvian coast due to no passenger services
- travelling on boat is important in the Amazon Basin
